QFD has several phases that should be considered. The initial phases include planning the project, some call this a Project Charter. The most common phase of QFD is the Requirements Phase which includes a heavy emphasis on understanding the Customer’s Wants and Needs. Following the Requirements Phase are the Concept Phase, Design Phase, Process Phase, and possibly a Production Control Phase.
