Although there are many tools in Quality Function Deployment (QFD), the House of Quality (HOQ) is the only one we recommend in our Systematic Innovation Process. It is a tool for documenting, clarifying, and prioritizing Customer Requirements. It contains 11 categories of information about Customer Requirements. It is very similar to the Customer Needs Matrix or VOC Opportunity Matrix. The HOQ can be used in Step 1 of our Systematic Innovation Process.
